Women and men who have had to say goodbye to someone or who have to endure a gap in their lives for another reason meet in a café for the soul.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer said: "There is nothing that can replace the absence of a loved one, and one should not even try. You simply have to endure and persevere. That sounds harsh at first, but at the same time it is a great comfort; because by leaving the gap unfilled, you remain connected to each other through it!"
Our Café for the Soul aims to give mourners the opportunity to come into contact with people who are also grieving for someone and to share their experiences in a safe space. Here, feelings can be shown and answers, help and ways of coping can be sought together.
Adult mourners of any denomination or nationality are invited to this open group. Accompanying adults are also very welcome.
Registration is not required, but is welcome. Participation is free of charge.
The Café for the Soul always takes place on the 2nd Saturday of the month in the Family Education Centre in Ibbenbüren. We meet on the 2nd floor (a lift is available) from 3.00 - 4.30 pm.
