Discover the fascinating floodplain landscape around the extensive Hambusch in Rheda, where water and land constantly alternate to form unique habitats. This free offer gives you the opportunity to explore the region accompanied by DWV-certified hiking guides.
+++Start of registration: 17.03.2025+++
Floodplains are among the most species-rich habitats in Europe. High and low water levels alternate constantly here, creating a mosaic of wet meadows, alluvial forests and natural floodplains. Typical plants such as silver willows can withstand long periods of flooding, while numerous bird species and amphibians use these areas as breeding grounds and retreats. Along the way, you will encounter wooded sections, open fields and small farms.
A self-pay break is planned at Bühlmeyer's Landcafé. If you are taking part, please also register for this when you register.
