The oldest late carolingian castle in German-speaking countries.
Built over 1,100 years ago to protect us against the Normans, today's castle Broich grew out of the fortified castle over the centuries. More than 200 years later, the later Prussian Queen Luise stayed here with her grandmother, today the imposing building serves both profane and festive purposes: The modern use extends from the headquarters of the Mülheim Stadtmarketing und Tourismus GmbH (MST) to the wedding halls, private rooms leases or receptions for urban representation events to museum use.
