Museum/Exhibition Park/gardens Tourist attractions – various

The Weseker Heimathaus is located in the Quellengrundpark. In addition to the rustic Heimathaus, visitors can also enjoy a geological garden, an apothecary garden and a bakery as well as exhibition barns. With these different areas, the Quellengrundpark is a beautiful destination for families and nature lovers. But those who are interested in historical buildings and their stories will also get their money's worth here.

In the summer months, the Kneipp water treading facility invites you to spend relaxing hours. It is fed with ice-cold water from the Holtbach spring. The facility can be visited with or without a guide.

History information

Today's Heimathaus is a Weseke farmhouse dating from 1748, but until 1976 it stood on another farm in the Borken district of Weseke. Only after its demolition in 1976 was it rebuilt true to the original by the local history society in the Quellengrundpark. Since its completion in 1978, it has served the local history society as a meeting room.

Inside the house there are numerous exhibits: Household objects from earlier times, tools for flax processing or from dairy farming.

Today, the house can also be rented for private festivities.

Tour information
  • The Heimathaus Weseke is open to the public during the stated opening hours.
  • Visits are also possible at other times by telephone arrangement with the Weseke local history society.
  • The garden is accessible free of charge at all times.
