The lake resort in Haltern is a popular destination for the warmer months and offers plenty of alternative fun and games in addition to swimming. For big and small water lovers, the lake has the right thing for every preference: Wild water games and romping in low water (for the little ones) are just as possible here as sporty or even relaxing swimming in natural deeper water. On the 800-metre-long sandy beach, visitors can use a beach volleyball court, a table tennis facility and playground equipment. Beach chairs and sunbathing areas along the lake invite you to sunbathe and relax, and a kiosk offers a fine selection for the little hunger in between.

Cycling routes
The Haltern lakeside resort is located in the NRW cycling network and lies in the 193 and 169 honeycombs of the Münsterland cycling region. The Römer-Lippe Route, the Hohe Mark Nature Park Route and the H6 Sand and Lakes Route, which runs along the shore of the reservoir, pass directly by the bath.

The Seebad Haltern am See reserves the right to open the facility. The lido is open when the weather permits.
"In sunny weather and summer temperatures, the lakeside bath is open from 11.00 a.m. Monday to Friday and from 10.00 a.m. to max. 8.00 p.m. at weekends. In low temperatures and/or precipitation, the lido is not open.
The basis for this regulation is the weather forecast for the next day. You can check the opening times on our website as early as midday the day before.
Ticket sales and admission until 1.5 hours before closing! 30 minutes before closing, the water area/beach area must be cleared."
