Information for cyclists
Ibbenbüren offers excellent conditions for cyclists. Centrally located in the Tecklenburger Land, there are numerous possibilities from here.
South of Ibbenbüren, cyclists encounter the foothills of the Teutoburg Forest. The hilly landscape with its rich forests offers wonderful distant views over the Münsterland region time and again. Popular destinations are the Bentlage Monastery in Rheine or the Gravenhorst Monastery in Hörstel. The historic old towns of Tecklenburg and Lengerich are also absolutely worth seeing and offer an exciting cultural programme. If you prefer to take it a little easier, use the wonderful cycle paths along the Dortmund-Ems or Mittelland Canal.

The signposted Münsterland cycle route network with its over 4,500 kilometres of cycle routes runs along the Aasee lake in Ibbenbüren. The town centre and the railway station can be easily reached by bike. There is a suitable cycle route for everyone here.

Arrival
Ibbenbüren is located in the northern Münsterland region between Rheine and Osnabrück on the Teutoburg Forest. The Tourist Info is located on Oststraße adjacent to the municipal library and close to the town centre.
Getting there by car:
Ibbenbüren is located on the A30 motorway. With connections to the A31, A1 and A2. Exit Ibbenbüren 11b, continue on L832 towards the city centre.
Arriving by train:
Ibbenbüren railway station is on the Osnabrück - Rheine railway line. The Tourist-Info and the Stadtmarketing-Verein are about 700 m away. The walk takes about nine minutes.
