Information for cyclists
Borken is a wonderful travel or excursion destination especially for cyclists, because the flat cycle paths lead in all directions around Borken. Numerous cycle paths are waiting to be ridden. There is a lot to discover on them, whether on old smugglers' paths towards the Dutch border or on a cycle tour on one of the themed routes.
Various themed cycle routes offer interesting cycling tours through the Münsterland region. The signposted themed cycle routes each show very special contents of the region and thus tell exciting stories about Münsterland. The following themed route leads through the beautiful landscape of Borken:
Flamingo Route
The regional circular route "Borkener Landpartie" also runs along the FARB. Everyone can find their next cycle tour on the approximately 4500 kilometres of the signposted Münsterland cycle path network.
The nearest junction to the FARB with the number 61 is in the Borkener Stadtpark.

Direction
Arrival
FARB is located in the city centre on the market square.
Arrival by car:
From the north/south: Arrival via the A 31 (Emden - Oberhausen), exit Borken. Then continue on the B 67 towards Borken.
From the east (Münster): Arrival via the A 43 (Münster - Wuppertal) to the Dülmen exit, then continue via the B 474 towards Coesfeld. After about 4 kilometres turn left and continue via L 600 and B 67 to Borken.
Arriving by train:
Borken is located on the Essen - Borken railway line. The regional train R14, "Der Borkener", runs on this route.
From the station it is only a few minutes' walk to the centre of Borken and about 1 km to FARB.
From Borken station take bus R21, R51 or R74, get off at the Wilbecke stop.
Parking
The car park on the street "Wilbecke" (Wilbecke 9B) is the closest one. Other public parking spaces are available along the market square and the adjacent church square. Larger parking areas are available at De-Wynen-Platz (Brinkstraße 9B, 46325 Borken) or at Kapitelshaus (Remigiusstraße 20). A pay and display car park is located on the street "Am Boltenhof".
