Information for cyclists
Due to its 4,500 km long well-signposted cycle path network, the Münsterland is an ideal travel and excursion destination for cyclists. The city of Borken, which is located in the lowlands of Münsterland, is also connected to this network of cycle paths. Various cycling and themed routes invite you to explore the beautiful Münsterland by bike. The Netherlands is also not far away. There are exciting and interesting things to discover on small smuggler's trails.

The Borken district of Weseke is also connected to the cycle path network. The "Hohe Mark Nature Park Route" leads to the most beautiful nature experiences in the area and passes directly by the Weseke Heimathaus. The Quellengrundpark with its apothecary garden and Kneipp water treading pool is a perfect resting place in summer.

Arrival
The Weseker Heimathaus is located in Borken in the western Münsterland. Arrival by car is via the A31 (Oberhausen-Emden | exit Borken or Gescher, journey time approx. 20-30 minutes) or the A3 (Köln-Arnhem | exit Hamminkeln, journey time approx. 40 minutes).
By train:
Borken is the terminus of the Essen-Bottrop-Dorsten-Borken railway line. The journey time from Essen main station is approx. 1 hour. Borken railway station is approx. 7.0 km from the Apothekergarten am Weseker Heimathaus, the journey time by bike is approx. 25 min.

By bus:
From Borken station, take the R76 line and get off at the "Evangelische Kirche" stop in Borken-Weseke. From here it is about 500 metres to the Weseker Heimathaus.
Parking
There are only a few parking spaces available at the Quellengrundpark. Free parking is available at the Bockwindmühle or at the Picker garden on the street "Eschwiese".
It is then about 500 m to the Quellengrundpark. Follow the path between the Bockwindmühle and the Picker garden. After crossing a subway, you will reach the Quellengrundpark.
