Kaisergarten in Oberhausen – experience a variety of leisure activities in picturesque surroundings
The 28-hectare park is not far from the Centro and Gasometer and invites you to linger with its large areas of woodland and meadows. In the park grounds, you will find exciting landscaping works from the "EmscherErlebnis Oberhausen" project around the walkable bridge sculpture "Slinky Springs To Fame" - which leads from the Kaisergarten to the New Emscher Valley. The highlight of the Kaisergarten Oberhausen is the free animal enclosure, where you can get up close to around 500 native animals from 25 mammal species and 45 bird species on 5.5 hectares. You can also pet and feed many of the animals, as there are feeding machines throughout the park. You can also learn interesting facts in the park's own NatureExperienceSchool, which has suitable programmes for every age group. Afterwards, you can round off an eventful day with a game of mini golf.
