How about a cultural wave ride through 2000 years of bathing history?

The Romans loved wellness, combined with socializing and entertainment. Personal care and hygiene were an absolute must, so visiting the baths was simply part of everyday life. It was no different in Zülpich. Its luxurious Roman bathing facility is still particularly well preserved today and has been built over with a modern museum featuring a very illustrative permanent exhibition.

There are interactive participation elements especially for younger visitors, such as fragrance stations where they can try out the favorite scents of the Romans or various medieval smells. Ancient board games are also available on a gaming table. For those who prefer a varied tour, comics, museum rallies, and multimedia stations are at their disposal.

Modern technology and high-quality replicas give the ancient walls and original finds a whole new life.

The range of displayed objects varies from Roman toiletries to the furnishings of a medieval bathhouse, curious inventions from the last century, to modern beachwear and current bathing design.
Additionally, there are changing special exhibitions and events.

Ancient Zülpich was a roadside settlement on the Roman road Trier - Cologne and is now part of the Via Agrippa, a cycling and hiking route in the Experience Area Roman Road.
