Langendreer station - the jewel of Langendreer
Langendreer Station is one of the oldest cultural centres in North Rhine-Westphalia and combines sophisticated cabaret, ambitious comedy, concerts of various genres, theatre for adults and children as well as readings and lectures under its roof. The cultural centre, which was built in 1908 by the Prussian State Railway as one of the largest railway stations in Germany, is known and popular beyond the region as a place where political topics in particular are in the foreground. There are also regular event formats of the LGBTQ community at Langendreer station, both exhibitions and dance events such as lesgirl. The diversity of the socio-cultural centre is completed by the programme cinema endstation.kino as well as the associated café operation.
