In the old fire station in Hillentrup, a private museum of local history awaits guests to marvel at and discover.
The fire station was built in 1922. On two floors, you can gain an insight into everyday life in the village in Grußmutter's time. The exhibition shows exhibits from the school, doctor and pharmacy to the trades of the time, household and living.
In the hose tower there is an old laundry room and utensils from the slaughterhouse of the time. Through the flaps of the tower room, furnished as a "parlor", you get a view of the historic houses of the village.
