The former Reitzenstein barracks are now a listed building. Built at the beginning of the 20th century on the east side of Wesel railway station, it is now a popular housing estate with renovated residential units and various halls of residence.
The former Reitzenstein barracks were built between 1900 and 1902 on the east side of Wesel railway station. After various subsequent uses, the site is now home to private flats as well as a retirement home and a residential home for people with mental disabilities.
The estate is still clearly recognisable as a former barracks in the character of the buildings.
