Directions
You cycle this tour in a clockwise direction. Starting at the train station in Schieder, we pass the Schiedersee lake on the northern shore. Through the Emmer valley with its wide meadows, you reach the historic old town of Lügde with its numerous half-timbered buildings. The route then continues with a gradual ascent to the stork village of Elbrinxen and via Rischenau up into the Schwalenberg Forest. The bikes then roll down into the old town of Schwalenberg with its historic town hall and castle. From Schwalenberg, you cycle along well-maintained cycle paths to Brakelsiek and then back to Schieder.
