Directions
The route starts right away with a first sight in Raesfeld: the nature park zoo Schloss Raesfeld. This is where modernity meets history. The Nature Park House is enclosed in a large glass structure that offers guests a great view of the outside, but also creates a perfect symbiosis with nature from the outside with its mirror effect. In the Nature Park House there is a small but exciting exhibition on the interaction between man and nature.
The Raesfeld Castle Zoo is adjacent to the Nature Park House. The imposing castle with its chapel, liberty and zoo invite visitors to linger and marvel. The grounds are a visual experience and leave a lasting impression that makes you want to visit again.
After the first two highlights in Rasefeld, the cycle tour now begins in a southwesterly direction. If you wish, you can make a detour to the New Wilderness Dämmer Forest with its adventure trail or visit the Van-Nahmen orchard meadow.
The route meanders playfully along picturesque fields and streams to the Büngersche and Dingdener Heide. Here you can discover large curlews, lively lapwings, water buffalo or storks in beautiful natural surroundings.
A little further west is the Dingdener Heide. It invites you to leave your bike behind and take a look at one of the highlight sections of the Hohe Mark Trail. Here you can take a "journey through time" of agriculture and agricultural change from the Middle Ages to the present day.
The stage ends in Dingden.

Additional Information
The Hohe Mark RadRoute is signposted throughout.
It is part of the junction system and can be recognised by the red/white signs. At intersections, arrow or destination signs guide cyclists in the right direction. Here cyclists will also find the Hohe Mark RadRoute logo with the green bicycle. Where the cycle paths only lead in one direction, there are regular rectangular intermediate signposts.
The Hohe Mark RadRoute makes it possible to take shortcuts via transverse bridges at four points - between Borken and Raesfeld and between Reken via Heiden and Dorsten. These are also part of the east, centre and west courses. The familiar route logo in reverse colour scheme (white bicycle on a green background) also guides you on the cross-paths.
