Circular hike through the idyllic Kellbach valley and along rustic forest paths
"So close to heaven!" is the motto of this dream trail in the Eifel: right at the start of the hike, a detour to the "Rauhbuur" rock area with its massive tuff walls is recommended. The trail continues over the bridge protecting an ant trail to the impressive rocky gorges of the Marxe-Lay and up to the Gänsehals. From this mountain, as well as from the three following peaks, hikers can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views. The last few kilometers lead to the legendary Genovevahöhle cave and the Sauer spring of the Erlenbrunnen fountain in Mendig.
