Hiking

Walk in the footsteps of poets and thinkers from Bad Driburg's history.

The destination of the "Hike in the footsteps of poets & thinkers" is the picturesque village of Alhausen - the birthplace of the poet, politician and doctor Friedrich Wilhelm Weber.

At the very beginning of the hike, you will cross the Gräflicher Park, where you will already discover the first traces of well-known personalities.

The path takes you past the Hölderlin Grove and the "Diotima Island", which were built as a tribute to the famous local poet Friedrich Hölderlin and his lover.
After a detour to the Droste House, which commemorates the poet Annette von Droste-Hülshoff, you pass the game reserve of the Gräflicher Park and head directly to Alhausen via the Rosenberg.
In Alhausen, take a look at the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Weber-Museum, the birthplace of the local poet in the heart of Alhausen.
From here, you return to Bad Driburg.
