MS Wissenschaft: A hands-on approach to the energy transition

Future energy: exhibition on board

The MS Wissenschaft exhibition ship will be stopping off in Oberhausen at the Kaisergarten jetty from June 24 to 26, 2025. In the Science Year 2025, the theme on board the converted former inland cargo ship will be "Future Energy": visitors can get hands-on with around 30 exhibits and explore various aspects of tomorrow's energy supply. There is also a varied program of events and numerous workshops for school classes.

During the summer months, the MS Wissenschaft goes on tour through the German river landscape on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The theme of the exhibition is always based on the respective science year. Children, young people and families in particular are invited to visit the floating science center. A visit to the exhibition is recommended from the age of twelve and admission is free.
