Traditionally, the flower and small animal market in Kommern opens the gardening season after the Ice Saints. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the historic town centre has been transformed into a huge blooming nursery for over three decades, with the chattering and clucking of animals in between. Nurseries, flower shops and garden centres offer a wide range of novelties and rarities. The hobby gardener has also cultivated many a treasure in his garden, old plants that are almost impossible to find in the nurseries. Plus lots of accessories for the home and garden such as ceramics, baskets, clogs, tools and much more. Speciality cheeses, wines, mustards, oils, Eifel schnapps, juices from the Eifel countrywomen and much more will delight the gourmet. Music clubs organise the musical part. A special trip to Kommern for young and old.
