Corpus Christi procession

The Corpus Christi festival with open-air service and procession

The service begins at 11.00 a.m. with a short introduction in the Maria Frieden church. The congregation then moves to the village pond, where Holy Mass is celebrated in the open air. A carpet of flowers there will emphasise the special significance of Corpus Christi. After the Mass, the congregation will march in procession along Diekesbreede and Bergstraße back to the Church of Maria Frieden, where the service will end with the final blessing.
