The opponents include the Hannover Scorpions, the Füchse Duismurg, the Hannover Indians, the TecArt Black Dragons from Erfurt, the Icefighters Leipzig, the Saale Bulls Halle, the Hammer Eisbären, the Herne EV Miners, the Tilburg Trappers and the Rostock Piranhas.

The Herford ice hockey club is home to the Young Dragons, Lady Dragons and Ice Dragons. Since the 2020/21 season, the Ice Dragons have been playing in the Oberliga Nord, the 3rd division of the professional ice hockey leagues in Germany.
The home venue is the imos ice rink "Im Kleinen Felde", which is a standing-room-only stadium with space for up to 1,029 spectators. In its most recent history, the club, which was founded in 2004, won the Regionalliga West championship twice in 2018 and 2019 before venturing into the Oberliga Nord in 2020.
