Traditional festival with stages in the town centre, artists' mile, funfair ...
The festival opens on Friday at 6 pm with the traditional barrel tapping by Mayor Andreas Stegemann on the stage of the market square, accompanied by the 1st Landsknecht Fanfare Corps Haltern. And then the music continues in quick succession on the various stages. And of course the whole weekend will be dedicated to the local festival, for which the shops in the town centre will be open again on Sunday between 1pm and 6pm.
The Roman legionaries from the LWL Roman Museum will not be parading through the town this year, but will be setting up camp in the Disselhof on both days. They will be a reminder of Haltern's Roman past.
One highlight will certainly revitalise the festival. A nostalgic Ferris wheel will be set up in the shadow of the historic Siebenteufelsturm tower to further enhance the usual funfair on Kärntner Platz. Here, visitors to the Ferris wheel will have a completely different view of the city.
The traditional children's flea market will also be back at Disselhof on Saturday and Sunday.
The art mile will open on the Gantepoth on both days from 10 am to 6 pm. Artists will be presenting their own works here.
Between Friday and Sunday, a special programme will be offered on the "Rockbüro stage" in the Muttergottesstiege (Wendehammer). Information on this can be found at www.rockbuero-haltern.de.
Important: The closed streets in the event area that are not used for stalls serve as set-up areas for the fire and rescue services and must therefore be kept clear at all times! The serving of drinks at the stands for the Heimatfest ends at 1 a.m. at the latest. Sunday at midnight.

There is a ban on bringing your own drinks and a ban on glass in the entire city centre area.
