Under the motto "Our Trees", numerous green oases will once again be opening their gates and inviting visitors to visit on the Day of Gardens and Parks in Westphalia-Lippe on June 8 and 9, 2024.
The Bad Salzuflen spa gardens will be at their best on the Day of Gardens in Parks in Westphalia-Lippe. Bad Salzuflen is one of Germany's major spas and it is not without reason that spas have always provided well-tended green spaces. The therapeutic remedies were supplemented with protected and well-kept grounds where relaxation and recreation were possible. From 1900 onwards, the Bad Salzufler Kurpark developed into its present form and, like any green space worth seeing, is in constant need of care, change and innovation. After an intensive phase of redesign, the park was reopened in 2018 as a new-generation spa park that invites visitors to try out, experience and touch.
Immerse yourself in a world of experiences that brings you closer to the history, tradition and culture of our spa, health resort and popular vacation destination in an exciting way. One highlight is the Wandelhalle in the Kurpark, which reopened in 2020 with an innovative management concept, which fascinates, entertains and amuses visitors of all generations with a combination of digital, interactive and analog productions on the themes of brine & Kneipp.
On Sunday, June 15 the Kurpark can be enjoyed extensively in summer splendor with free admission.
The "Culture in Westphalia" project and the LWL-Denkmalpflege, Landschafts- und Baukultur in Westfalen have initiated the "Gardens & Parks in Westphalia-Lippe" project to highlight and promote the diversity and beauty of the gardens and parks in Westphalia-Lippe.
