Trip/excursion Guided tour/tour Hiking

The Ravensberger Hügelland combines open valleys, old beech forests and flowering meadows to create a diverse cultural landscape. These valuable habitats are home to numerous animal and plant species. This free offer gives you the opportunity to explore the region in the company of DWV-certified hiking guides.

+++Start of registration: 17.03.2025+++

The route leads through a varied landscape in which orchards, near-natural valleys and fish-rich ponds create a harmonious picture. In Häger, we pass orchards and hedges that provide shelter and food for numerous bird species. We then cross the open Siektäler valleys - box-shaped valleys with steep embankments that were once used for grazing and are now valuable biotopes for insects and amphibians. A highlight of the tour are the fish ponds, where various dragonfly species can be observed. Finally, the trail leads through an impressive beech forest before the panorama of the Teutoburg Forest opens up.
