Description:
When their mother Vera (Eva Löbau) is sent to China as a foreign correspondent, siblings Tom (Theo Kretschmer), Elmar (Anton Noltensmeier) and Nina (Lilli Lacher) end up with their grandparents Hanna (Hedi Kriegskotte) and Horst (Michael Wittenborn) in Lunau. The place in the far north feels like a foreign planet to the children from the city. For little Tom, however, the stay also represents an opportunity: he suffers from Asperger's syndrome and sees the place as a kind of test run for his next big goal: he wants to travel to Mars.
