On Wednesday, July 17, the "Counting Storks Today" event invites nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts on a unique discovery tour. The route covers around 17 kilometers, starting at Fischanger and leading via Elbrinxen to Sabbenhausen.
A special feature of this hike is the opportunity to observe the local storks in their natural habitat. These majestic birds provide an impressive spectacle as they glide across the fields or nest in the tall trees.
The tour departs at 8:40 am on the Brautlacht bus from Kronenplatz in Detmold. After an eventful day, the same bus brings the participants back at around 16:00. A stopover at the idyllic "Schierbrucher Krug" inn in Lügde-Sabbenhausen invites you to linger and refresh yourself.
Under the expert guidance of Annegret and Georg Jenkner, participants not only gain an insight into the fascinating world of storks, but also experience the scenic beauty of the region up close. The tour therefore offers a perfect combination of experiencing nature and learning about it.
Not least, this hike is an ideal opportunity to get in touch with like-minded people in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoy the diversity of the local flora and fauna. The scenic attractions and the impressive flying skills of the storks make the excursion an unforgettable experience for nature lovers of all ages.
