Journey into the spirit of the Golden Twenties
The ‘Cologne 1926’ experience uses innovative virtual reality technology to take you on a multi-faceted journey back in time to the authentic Cologne of the legendary Golden Twenties. The accompanying characters, tram driver Pitter and hat maker Tessa, guide you through a historically unadulterated, virtual cityscape. Film culture, fashionable expressions, musical innovations and Cologne's carnival exemplify the vibrant life and social upheaval of the era between the world wars. In this virtual and at the same time reflective examination of everyday urban life, it becomes clear how the interplay of cultural innovations and social conditions characterises that period to this day.
