Description:
Tom (Sam Riley) works as a tennis coach in a run-down hotel resort in the middle of the dusty desert landscape of Fuerteventura. His everyday life has nothing to do with the dream he thought could come true here. Day after day, the same undemanding routine. That's not enough for the former tennis pro. All he has left now is alcohol and fleeting affairs. But while his lovers can leave again, he is stuck there, unable to change anything. When Anne (Stacy Martin) arrives one day with her husband and son, something changes. This family is nothing like the tourists you usually meet at the resort. When Tom gives eight-year-old Anton (Dylan Torrell) tennis lessons, he quickly becomes close to the family. He senses the tension between Anne and Dave. When Dave disappears without a trace after an argument with his wife, Tom helps her look for him. But Anne is behaving strangely and Tom slowly develops a suspicion.
