Description:
Elio (voice in original: Yonas Kibreab), an eleven-year-old boy, is a dreamer by the book. Although he is artistic, creative and an avid indoor athlete, he struggles daily to fit in with his surroundings. Meanwhile, his mother Olga (America Ferrera), head of a top-secret military project, is working on decoding extraterrestrial messages from outer space. However, it is her son, not her, who makes contact and is beamed up by the aliens. Elio is suddenly mistaken for Earth's chosen intergalactic ambassador. On this great adventure, he has to prove to the aliens, but above all to himself, that the best part of being human is being yourself. Animated film by Adrian Molina, who is making his solo directorial debut with "Elio" after co-directing "Coco" with Lee Unkrich.
