Five years after the events on Isla Nublar, dinosaurs and humans live in a fragile coexistence. But the drastic ecological changes to the planet are increasingly forcing the primeval creatures back into isolated equatorial areas. A team of experts - including Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson), Duncan Kincaid (Mahershala Ali), Dr. Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey), Martin Krebs (Rupert Friend) and Reuben Delgado (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) - embark on a secret mission to a remote island to obtain genetic material from the largest dinosaurs on land, in water and in the air - a crucial step towards developing a revolutionary cure. But the mission takes an unexpected turn when they encounter a stranded family whose boat has been destroyed by aquatic dinosaurs. Together they find themselves on a forbidden island that once served as a secret Jurassic Park research facility.
