Less is more. The minimalist Nordic cuisine, which is booming in cities such as Berlin, Amsterdam and Antwerp, has known this for a long time. Thanks to host and owner Sebastian Wego, Düsseldorfers know this too.
Nordic by nature - the seasonal cuisine at Nørds presents modern creations - sometimes classic, sometimes experimental and usually both at the same time. The menu remains focused on the essentials. Accordingly, the interior of the small restaurant speaks a purist language. Hygge unfolds its decelerated charm at Nørds. To preserve the ingredients throughout the season, Sebastian uses traditional methods such as smoking, pickling, marinating and fermenting. At lunchtime and in the evening, curious diners in Flingern on Lindenstraße get their money's worth. A highlight - and a recommendation - is the seafood platter, which can be enjoyed with an excellent wine.
