If you're looking for fresh sushi or sashimi on Carlsplatz, you can't go past the Purozushi stand. Owner Maxime Salvatori learnt his culinary skills in a 5-star hotel and offers his guests exquisite Japanese cuisine.
Maxime Salvatoris' father has been successfully running a sushi stand at the Mercado Olivar fish market in sunny Palma de Mallorca since 2010. And because Düsseldorf is home to the third-largest Japanese community in Europe, Salvatoris chose Carlsplatz for his stand. Because sushi is as much a part of Düsseldorf as Halve Hahn. The menu at the stalls in Palma and Düsseldorf is identical. The ‘Mallorcan sushi’ of his own creation offers interesting variations such as the ‘Strawberry Tuna Rolls’. Another exciting dish is ceviche, a fish dish originally from Peru that is particularly popular with healthy food lovers due to its high protein and vitamin content.
