Direction

From Dortmund
A 44 towards Kassel, exit 61 Wünnenberg/Haaren onto the A 33 towards Bielefeld. Take exit 26 Paderborn-Elsen onto the B 1 towards Bad Lippspringe as far as Horn-Bad Meinberg, OT Horn. Leave the B 1 at the sign "Externsteine". Follow these signs. At Holzhausen-Externsteine take the first of the three village entrances.

From Hanover
A 2 towards Dortmund, take the Bad Eilsen exit onto the B 238. Leave the B 238 after Rinteln in the direction of Barntrup, Blomberg. Leave the B 1 in Horn-Bad Meinberg and continue as above at the "Externsteine" sign.

The nearest airport is Paderborn / Lippstadt, approx. 40 kilometers away.

Train station
The nearest train stations are Horn-Bad Meinberg and Detmold. The nearest ICE train stations are Bielefeld and Paderborn.
