Katschhof

The Katschhof courtyard between Aachen Cathedral and the city hall has an elegant feel.

The Katschhof was the inner courtyard of the palace of Charlemagne the Great, and the connection point between the King’s Hall (today’s city hall) and the Marienkirche church (now Aachen Cathedral). During the Christmas period, a part of the Aachen Christmas market is located here. From the steps of the city hall, you have a great view out over the Katschhof and the beautiful Aachen Cathedral.
