... soft gingerbread biscuits. In the oldest coffee shop in Aachen, the first owners already knew how good Printen gingerbread and Spekulatius spiced biscuits taste with a cup of coffee. As an expression of his personal gratitude and in honour of the “Öcher Prent”, the Aachen Printen, Leo van den Daele commissioned the gingerbread girl statue from Huber Löneke, which now stands in front of the Van den Daele coffee shop.
