"Letzte Spur" monument

The Letzte Spur (“final lane”) is part of the “Namen und Steine” (“names and stones”) project...

...run by the AIDS Foundation in Aachen. The "Letzte Spur" is a path hewn in stone dedicated to the victims of the auto-immune disease AIDS. Laid in the passage to the Domhof square, the path covers half city, half church ground. The Letzte Spur symbolises the existence of AIDS and acts as a reminder that HIV can affect anyone.
