Monument

In 1911, Kaiser Wilhelm II unveiled the equestrian statue of Kaiser Friedrich III in Aachen.

The monument was created by sculptor Hugo Lederer. The monument used to be surrounded by several lions, although today, only one remains on the Kaiserplatz square. The statue, which is about four-and-a-half metres high, still keeps watch over the Kaiserplatz square in Aachen today.
