    Monument

    A New Gothic crucifixion group for Aachen’s Romanesque church.

    The site of the New Gothic crucifixion group used to be occupied by a Romanesque church, which was torn down in 1886 to make way for the new St. Jakob parish church. The monument was built in 1893 by the artists W. Pohl and C. Esser.
