The Annakirche is the oldest and one of the most beautiful Protestant churches in Aachen.
The Annakirche is a former monastery church, and was re-designed in the mid-18th century by the famous Aachen architect John Josef Couven. Due to its central location and beautiful architecture, it is very popular among Aacheners as a venue for baptisms and weddings. From spring to autumn, happy couples and parents exiting the church and going to their celebrations are a particularly common sight.
