    Monument

    The congress monument is located in the Stadtgarten Aachen city park.

    In 1818, the King of Prussia, the Russian Tsar and the Austrian Emperor took part in a peace conference in Aachen. In honour of this historic event, the congress monument was built on the Adalbertsteinweg street in 1822, and was moved to the park during the 1920s.
