Ostfriedhof

Take a stroll through the "Ostfriedhof" ("eastern cemetery") in Aachen, the city’s oldest cemetery.

Situated beyond Aachen’s former city boundaries, the eastern cemetery was consecrated as a Catholic cemetery in 1803. Mausoleums and family vaults of well-known Aacheners create a particular place of remembrance with their sculptures and crosses. Here, guided tours are offered by the local support association.
