Kurpark

The Kurpark (“spa park”) in Burtscheid is the oldest park in Aachen.

Every spa town needs a spa park. In Burtscheid, its size and usage were frequently changed during the course of time. Originally, the thermal water flowed in the Burtscheider Tal valley, although now that the Rosenquelle spring has been pumped out, it has either dried up or been built over. Today, the centre of the Kurpark contains the Kurpark Terrassen terraces, where there is a restaurant and events are sometimes held, with a beautiful view out onto the Kurpark.
