Monument

Former seat of the Corvey marshal's office

The site was originally home to the town court of the Corvey marshal's office. In addition to the marshal, the Schenk, Truchsess and chamberlain were among the four medieval court offices of Corvey Abbey. In the 17th century, the estate fell into disrepair and was last used as a pasture.

In 1791, Wilhelmine Henriette v. Ziehlberg acquired it and had the stately Baroque building erected. Alongside other buildings in the Baroque style, the building illustrates the development of Corbiestrasse into a former boulevard and princely residence.
