The Ems Information Center is located in Hövelhof close to the Ems springs in the Moosheide nature reserve and provides information about the source region of the Ems as well as the neighboring regions up to the mouth of the Ems into the North Sea. The Ems Information Center is also the starting point of the popular Ems Cycle Path, which follows the course of the river from Hövelhof in the Senne to the North Sea.

The exhibition aims to arouse anticipation for the beauty of the landscapes that cyclists will cross together with the Ems, for the multitude of sights that are worth getting off the bike for. Visitors are given information about the tourist attractions and can experience the highlights along the Ems in advance of their trip. In the information center, the source region of the Ems is vividly described, especially the special features of the Ems as a seepage spring that pours continuously all year round. In various models, young visitors can also see the source of the Ems themselves or sail a ship through the Ems barrage in Gandersum.
