Odins Filmtheater Bad Lippspringe e.V. entered the digital age on April 15, 2015. Odins combines state-of-the-art technology and a cutting-edge program. Odins shows great movies, most of which are not yet available on DVD or pay TV.
Odins Filmtheater is supported by more than 50 active and passive members. The most recent modernization was supported by the citizens of Bad Lippspring, the city, generous entrepreneurs and other institutions with the fabulous donation sum of 28,174 euros. In addition, 25,770 euros of taxpayers' money was provided by the German Federal Film Board and the Detmold district government.
Odin's Filmtheater is, in the best sense of the word, a cinema of all citizens for all citizens Odin now offers the finest film technology at the level of large cinema centers. An NC 900C digital projector with 2K chipset and a powerful server presents movies from all major studios from the fully encrypted hard disk. Real cinema sound is provided by an eight-channel Dolby Digital Cinema projector.
