Museum/Exhibition

In Bad Lippspringe, the local history museum is located in Haus Hartmann right next to St. Martin's Church.

The local history association looks after the exhibits in the museum and offers guided tours. A collection of local history books and magazines is also available to visitors in the museum rooms.

The history of the village runs through the rooms of the museum like a common thread. The exhibits range from a mammoth tooth to an oak water pipe from the first bathing facility of the early baths, from a Saxon sword from the early Middle Ages to a model of the town hall from 1802, from a model of the town in 1600 to a beer mug from last year's town festival.

As a special feature, the museum has several illustrations of historical scenes using painted pewter figures.
