The memorial to the victims of National Socialist tyranny was inaugurated on November 3, 1988. There are also two memorial plaques and memorial stones on the site.
The memorial is located in the immediate vicinity of the old synagogue, the Vorsängerhaus and the Jewish school. Replicas of the four pillars that survived the destruction of the synagogue during the November progrom on November 3, 1938 are integrated into the bases of the four sandstone pillars of the memorial.
There is a memorial plaque on the back wall of the old synagogue, which was inaugurated on November 9, 1995.
