Gut Neuhof

The beginnings of the Neuhof estate date back to 1599, when the widow of the then owner of Schlüsselburg, Sophie Klencke, had a "new farm" built on the other bank of the Weser opposite the Schlüsselburg manor house due to inheritance disputes. This in turn had to make way for a completely new estate between 1699 and 1707, which corresponded to the ideal of a baroque estate of the time. The estate remained in noble ownership until 1698, when it was sold to the Lüneburg bailiff Johann Voigt. In 1976, the exterior of the old manor house was restored to its original style and the interior was converted into a nursing home.

Today it is used as a facility for the treatment of addicts and mentally ill people

The almost completely preserved baroque ensemble continues to impress with its unity. Its characteristic feature is the strict orientation towards a central axis, which, starting from the driveway, continues through the manor house built in 1704 to the octagonal pavilion on the Weser
