One of the most beautiful natural monuments in Germany.

The 1,000-year-old lime tree, also known as the Wittekind lime tree, stands in the churchyard of the Protestant Reformed Church in Elbrinxen. It has a trunk circumference of 12 m and is 35 m high. The lime tree is one of the largest trees in Lippe and one of the oldest lime trees in Germany.

Arrival by car:
Leave the center of Lügde on Höxterstraße, following the signs to Höxter. After approx. 10 minutes you will reach the district of Elbrinxen. From the main road, turn right into the street "Im Winkel". The lime tree is located on the grounds of the Protestant church at the end of the street.

Arrival by bus:
The bus line 761 (Bad Pyrmont Markt - Rischenau Post) will take you to Elbrinxen in approx. 15 minutes.
