    In the Schloß Neuhaus district, right next to the castle of the same name, the Pader flows into the Lippe.

    If you look along Residenzstraße on the double bridge over the Pader and Lippe towards the Baroque Garden, you can see the confluence of the two rivers. Here, after a good four kilometers, Germany's shortest river flows into North Rhine-Westphalia's longest river. Although the Pader carries six to seven times the amount of water of the Lippe at this point, it has to give up its name. From Schloß Neuhaus, the Pader is joined by the 230-kilometre-long Lippe across north-west Germany via Lippstadt, Hamm, Lünen, Marl and Dorsten.

    If you turn a little further left into Amtsweg and follow the sidewalk for a while, you can also clearly see the confluence.

    By car:
    Take the A 33 freeway to the Pad.-Schloß Neuhaus exit; then take Münsterstraße in the direction of Paderborn. At the intersection of Münsterstraße and Residenz- or Verner Straße (2nd traffic light) turn left into Residenzstraße. After about 900 meters, at the 3rd traffic light, turn left into Hermann-Löns-Straße and after 100 meters turn left again into Am Schloßgarten.
    From here it is only a short walk to the Amtsweg or the Lippe and the Schloß- und Auenpark.

    Parking is available at the Am Schloßgarten parking lot (navigation destination address: Am Schloßgarten 5, 33104 Paderborn).
    By public transportation:
    Take the city bus lines 1, 8, 9, 10/20, 14, 16 (PaderSprinter) to the "Schloß Neuhaus" stop.
